in the 14th platoon (located in Volodymyr-Volynskyi). As of March
In 2015, he served in eastern Ukraine until he was wounded in a minefield 15
March 2016, when Vladimir’s group went on a reconnaissance run on
occupied territory.
Volodymyr was evacuated to a hospital in Volnovakha, where he was amputated
both lower extremities. Having received the first prosthesis in Ukraine, Volodymyr
started training and participating in various competitions for people with
disability, such as “Games of Heroes” and “Power of the Nation”.
Vladimir comes from Kakhovka, Kherson region, has a 10-month-old baby.
The foundation helps Vladimir get two prosthetic legs. Vladimir goes to
Orlando (Florida) for treatment and rehabilitation in Prosthetics and Orthotics
Associates. The cost is $ 12,500 for both legs. Also Vladimir
received running leg prostheses from the center for free.
